Assembly Point has several major infestations of Japanese Knotweed. In October 2015 seven members of the Assembly Point Water Quality Coalition, committed to learning how to control this invasive without Round Up or other chemicals possibly harmful to the lake and the wetlands walked the Point with Zack Simek of Adirondack Invasives/ Tupper Lake and Supervisor of Town of Queensbury, John Strough. Below are the reports by the Coalition about the walk and the report from Zach Simek about conditions on Assembly Point.

Assembly Point residents work to eradicate a small infestation on residential property along the lake. Chemical injection is not an acceptable solution for these residents. Please see reports  to the left.
